Hurling through Election '08; the Revolution Continues . . .

Reformers, we have something to crow about; we have made some giant LEAPs! As we say in Texas, no brag; just fact!

Isn't it a relief the election is over? The endless waste of money ads and mud slinging are enough to make you want to hurl your toenails or throw the remote at the screen. The debates were virtually worthless; totally ignoring the worst public policy since slavery...(all together now) PROHIBITION.

'I congratulate our first African-American president-elect. Martin Luther King, Jr. certainly would be proud to see this day." Our fellow rebel with just cause and Congressman Ron Paul tells Obama like it is. He formally kicked off his Campaign for Liberty with the motto: "The Revolution Continues." No doubt, Martin would remind us to hold fast to the dream! You know the one, the revolutionary idea of self government free of tyranny and big government oppression. Join the Love Revolution!

Servants of tyranny support continuing the abomination of a drug war. Servants of the people support reform to a better drug policy that truly will make our neighborhoods safer; restoring justice in America! Science based drug policies about saving and rehabilitating instead of ruining lives, allowing nonviolent adults to take responsibility for their own choices, are the best, safest policies for the individual and society.

For the first time in history, a cannabis decriminalization initiative appeared on a statewide ballot, Massachusetts voters passed it by an overwhelming majority. Michigan is the 13th state to permit medical marijuana use by seriously ill patients.

MPP and reform allies across the country passed nine out of 10 marijuana-related ballot initiatives plus defeated a bad initiative. This election will be remembered as a tipping point in history with signs of reform progress in Congress and the White House. In fact, on the Democratic side, every single incumbent who lost Tuesday consistently opposed protecting medical marijuana patients from arrest and jail.

Cannabis oil is that "cure all" some of our ancestors used! Thank God, they did not let us all be brain washed into forgetfulness about the wonder of it! Oooops they spilled the beans, in spite of the oppression promoted by medical profiteers.

President-elect Barack Obama's campaign has stated recently: "Many states have laws that condone medical marijuana, but the Bush Administration is using federal drug enforcement agents to raid these facilities and arrest seriously ill people. Focusing scarce law enforcement resources on these patients who pose no threat while many violent and highly dangerous drug traffickers are at large makes no sense. Senator Obama will not continue the Bush policy when he is president."

He also supports repealing the federal syringe ban and is co-sponsor of Senator Biden's bill to eliminate the 100-to-1 crack/powder cocaine sentencing disparity.

All in all, "I feel energized like never before, and so do my colleagues at the Drug Policy Alliance and our many allies in the growing movement to end the drug war. I hope you do, too." - Ethan Nadelmann, Executive Director-Drug Policy Alliance . "In the months ahead, President-elect Obama will choose a new Drug Czar for our nation, and members of Congress will put together legislation to overhaul his agency. We have an opportunity to re-shape drug policy for a generation."

President-elect Obama does wants to hear your vision for the way he should lead the country. Reformers' vision of drug policy reform may also be published at the Drug Policy Forum Texas website.

Mark your calendars: Reform 2009: The International Drug Policy Reform Conference, November 11-14, 2009 in Albuquerque (Convention Center), New Mexico.

"The Reform Conference is the largest and most important gathering of people who believe the war on drugs is doing more harm than good. It brings together representatives from every corner of the drug policy reform movement -- activists and students, drug users and those in recovery, harm reduction and treatment professionals, law enforcers and the formerly incarcerated -- for three days of stimulating learning, debate, strategizing and fun."

Amnesty International is urging President-elect Obama to take three crucial actions: Announce a plan and date to close Guantánamo;
issue an executive order to ban torture and other ill-treatment, as defined under international law and setup an independent commission to investigate abuses committed by the US government in its "war on terror."

Uncle Sam is way too big for his britches. We are going back to the people are grand and government is small plan, that giant step away from tyranny; the revolutionary idea of self government.

The blasted Bailout bill contains buried provisions to invade your privacy!! Do you think the IRS should set up undercover operations to entrap unsuspecting taxpayers or release your confidential tax returns to law enforcement and intelligence agencies upon request?

"Relying on the government to protect your privacy is like asking a peeping tom to install your window blinds." -- John Perry Barlow

The One Subject At A Time Act or the Read the Bills Act. would have prevented the Bailout bill from passing. Revolution is Easy in this age of mass communication. Exercising your political might is just a click away.

Get tough on violent crime and let nonviolent people make their own health choices.

Save the children, just say NO to prohibition!
Trigger less violence, racism, tyranny and ruined lives!

T'is the season to count our blessings and renew our pledge to cultivate an attitude of happy gratitude every day.

Wishing you safe holiday travel and a joyful Thanksgiving!
