Happy Halloween! It's time for the hard truth about current hard times in America. Like a vampire, Uncle Sam sucks American blood and liberty. Expose big government corruption and out right lies! Expose Uncle Sam for the money hungry, power mad, out for blood beast he is!
Move America out of the dark ages of war by returning to our true north, self-government free of tyranny and oppression. Downsize to small, Constitutional government; return to the Spirit of '76. Our founder knew big government would always mean a gang of evildoers often hiding tyranny under the guise of good intentions.
Prohibition fuels corruption of public officials and injustice in our courts. It triggers violence in our streets and along our borders. It incites terrorists by forcing senseless policy on other countries. The black-market supports despicable people who sell to children and who recruit them to sell to their peers. The statistics reveal that racism is epidemic in the drug war.
U.S. police arrested an estimated 829,625 individuals for making a safer choice (marijuana violations) in 2006, according to the latest FBI annual Uniform Crime Report. That total, the highest ever recorded for marijuana violations, made up 44 percent of all drug arrests. The impact on society from the children orphaned and displaced by this senseless policy is a crying shame.
Meanwhile
across the US last year 40% of the murders, almost 60% of the rapes and
about half of the aggravated assaults went unsolved! The cumulative effect
of this is horrendous. While we police individual recreational and medicinal
use of drugs; murderers and violent sexual predators roam free. Law
Enforcement keeping the focus on marijuana despite the rise in violent crime
is policy bordering on insanity or reefer madness.
Abstinence from recreational
drugs is safest for all, especially youth, but
few will choose it. Parents do need to set an example for their children.
However, most parents who use drugs and alcohol do not abuse them. They are
responsible drug users, especially marijuana users, as it is the safest
choice! Author of "Addiction-Proof
Your Child", psychologist Stanton Peele, Ph.D., J.D., and daughter
Anna, tell about underage drinking in their family on youtube.
Reality check: Do we know what it means to actually live up to our reputation as a free nation; the Land of Liberty?
We know the vision; make it manifest!
"We need to repeal the whole war on drugs," said our next president, Ron Paul. "This is a disease, not a crime." There was no doubt who won the GOP candidates debate at Morgan University in Maryland. But former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee also admitted. "We have a drug and alcohol problem." and stressed the need for rehabilitation and treatment over incarceration for drug offenses.
"Drug prohibition is
economically illogical, and creates vast unintended
consequences that cost our economy tens of billions of dollars in losses and
waste. The
Business Council for Prosperity and Safety is the alliance of business
leaders telling policy makers we want to increase profits for our investors,
and to have safe neighborhoods for our families. The Business Council is working
to replace drug prohibition with a logical system to manage the drug problem
to reduce crime, to reduce the harm from drugs, and to reduce unnecessary
taxes." Find out "Eleven
Ways the War on Drugs is Hurting Your Business."
The International Drug Policy Reform Conference is the world's principal gathering of people who believe the war on drugs is doing more harm than good. No better opportunity exists to learn about drug policy and to plan and mobilize for reform. This year's conference will be held December 5-8 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in the legendary French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Drug Policy Alliance has announced they will offer a limited number of scholarships to bring people to New Orleans.
"Can America End Its Drug War Addiction?" Jack Cole, of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, LEAP will speak Oct. 17, at the Atrium (4th floor), Peter T. Flawn Academic Center-FAC. The event is sponsored by UT Austin School of Social Work, Drug Policy Forum of Texas, Cullen Trust Centennial Professorship in Alcohol Studies and Education.
Restore justice in America;
construct science based drug policies about
saving and rehabilitating instead of ruining lives. Warriors can get their
adrenal rush catching murderers and violent sexual predators. Many of whom
we know are out there, somewhere. Then our peacekeepers will truly be making
our neighborhoods safer.
