A Nation of Scofflaws & Hypocrites

PROHIBITION is a documentary directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that shows how the Eighteenth Amendment triggered violence and created a pervasive disrespect for the law, "a nation of scofflaws and hypocrites." You cannot watch it without noticing how it parallels our current situation. Since the lessons of the "Noble Experiment" were forgotten or never clearly understood, we repeat misbegotten, demented policy.

Drug warriors are desperately trying to keep nonviolent patients from a
safe, effective, often-essential medicine in order to "protect" teens by
supporting policy that triggers despicable people to sell drugs to minors,
recruit them to sell to their peers and arm them to kill the competition.
Such tyrannical hypocrites must use copious amounts of alcohol or
pharmaceuticals (maybe both?) to sleep at night and just get through their
days.

ABC News' George Stephanopoulos asked Ron Paul about newsletters published in his name years ago containing racist content. Paul replied, dwelling on something he didn't write but has assumed responsibility for and has apologized for previously, diverts attention away from the "true racism" in this nation's judicial system that disproportionately imprisons blacks for their involvement in drug crimes.

"If we truly want to be concerned about racism, you ought to look at a few of those issues and look at the drug laws, which are being so unfairly enforced," Paul said as ABC news quickly cut to commercials, and all the presidential wannabes on stage heaved a sigh of relief. Paul's statements telling truth to power went unanswered but exposed the wannabes agreement with the current policies of crime and punishment. Why would ABC news try not to give more credibility to this very real racist issue?

Tyranny's growth depends on keeping the people fearful and begging for more protection from an infinite number of invented or exaggerated enemies and hazards. The state does not run the affairs of people in a free society. It upholds justice between people who conduct their own affairs.

Laws must exist for the sole purpose of establishing justice, when they fail in this purpose, they block social progress. "He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it. The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal." - Martin Luther King

Nazi Medicine, a documentary directed by John Michalczyk looks at the bizarre, inhuman theories and practices carried out by Nazi doctors during the Holocaust and finds their roots in our country during the period from 1900 through the 30's. Nazi administrators justified their early mass sterilizations (over 450,000 in less than a decade) by citing the United States as their inspiration.

Eugenics was widely popular in the early decades of the 20th century. More than thirty states had laws written to prohibit marriage and force sterilization of the mentally ill in order to prevent the "passing on" of mental illness to the next generation. These laws were not all abolished until the mid-20th century. At least 60,000 Americans were sterilized. Before the shock of exposing the death camps in World War II, the idea that eugenics would lead to genocide was not taken seriously by the average American.

By the mid-20th century eugenics had fallen into disfavor because of its association with Nazi Germany. However, developments in genetic, genomic, and reproductive technologies at the end of the 20th century have created a resurgence of interest in eugenics. Polls have recorded a majority of public support for limited forms of germ-line intervention, especially to prevent children inheriting usually fatal genetic disease. Why not sterilize the extremely violent and murderous sexual predators? Violent tendencies can be bred out of humans as has been proven in some animals.

Another documentary, The Cross and the Star: by Michalczyk reveals that anti-Semitic teachings from various religions around the world helped pave the way for the Nazi party's hatred. Hate and crimes against humanity promoted In God's Name.

Nazi officials and corrupt French collaborators arrested thousands of French Jews in 1942 and shipped them to an inadequate holding facility until they could be sent to the concentration camps. Sarah's Key is a gripping drama inspired by these actual events.

“The world is his who can see through its pretension. What deafness, what stone-blind custom, what overgrown error you behold, is there only by sufferance,--by your sufferance. See it to be a lie, and you have already dealt it its mortal blow.”
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hollywood comedy director Tom Shadyac finds insights and inspiration as he explores his personal journey, "the nature of humanity" and the "world's ever-growing addiction to materialism." Everything but more importantly everyone is connected on a molecular level. Some would call it the Spiritual level.

"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity." - MLK More is not necessarily better.

The Love revolution is one of the greatest cultural shifts in the history of mankind. Soon we will reach the tipping point! As more of us refuse to remain neutral in these times of great moral conflict and work for positive change, we can each honestly say, "I am what is right about the world.". The shift is about to hit the fan.

Morally bankrupt financiers, empire builders and leaders in their pockets make capitalism abhorrent with their predatory capitalism. Predatory capitalism due to big government interference and protection destroys people. Benign or ethical capitalism, America's founders' vision of the free market, creates a world of abundance for all.

Did the Founders used cannabis? Or did they just grow hemp?

The debate continues: When the females have already set seeds, the males are removed from the field to allow the females more light, which makes them produce more abundant seeds. It was NOT sinsemilla cultivation where the males are removed before the females can set seeds.

This is one explaination of Washington's diary note about separating by gender. The whole point of Washington's little experiment was to see if they could get enough seeds to start a homegrown hemp industry and not rely on Britain, Italy and Russia for hemp. Or was he interested in growing sensi but waited too late and the males had already done their job? Inquiring minds want to know.

Here are more of our leaders.accused of sampling a safer choice in an article from Ghana. Could there be truth to the claim that, "James Madison once remarked that hemp gave him insight to create a new and democratic nation?"

The destruction of the sacred family unit and prison over population are some of the worst consequences of current policy.

The history of drug use before drug prohibition shows that "crime" was not connected to drug use when addicts could buy all of the heroin, morphine, cocaine and any other drug they wanted cheaply and legally at the corner pharmacy. Before our punitive policies people who witnessed an overdose could report it without fear of arrest and deaths were easily prevented.

Prohibition's legacy is legend in the waste of our precious lives and resources. Our corrupt system attracts too many of those interested in milking it for all it is worth. Restore justice and attract more of those who will make the system run with the milk of human kindness.

Servants of tyranny support the drug war. Deaths and needless injuries happen too often in botched paramilitary drug raids. Overzealous, unconscionable to the extreme, situations are occurring!

Servants of the people support reform to a better drug policy that truly
makes our neighborhoods safer. They realize while we police individual
social, medicinal and religious drug use murderers and other violent
criminals roam free triggering violence in
our streets.

It is morally bankrupt to punish nonviolent adults for making a safer health
choice, cannabis or marijuana, compared to other legal medicinal/social
drugs. Regulate cannabis like alcohol and tobacco or just reclassify it, as
the herbal supplement it is scientifically! The people believe in
self-government and self-medication.

Less than 1% of US are actually addicted to anything illegal.
Incarceration costs seven times treatment. Restore public and law
enforcement safety! Change to ethical policy and show fiscal responsibility!
Use resources to catch more violent and sexual predators or incarcerate
those morally bankrupt, selling drugs to children or driving intoxicated.
Save lives instead of ruining them. Restore Justice, the guardian of
liberty!

Dear reader, find your voice and stand tall for self government, support the American dream! It could be a fatal flaw, for those who can do little to do nothing. Write your leaders nationally, internationally and locally. Petition them! March for the American dream of very limited government if you are able. People of all faiths and goodwill can stand together for a more just, science based and compassionate alternatives to current senseless policies.

"The very word secrecy is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers, which are cited to justify it."  - President John F. Kennedy

Our flag is a symbol of liberty, justice and freedom! It is a beacon for hope in a troubled world. Don't let its reputation be tarnished by incidents of torture and other war crimes. Recapture the Flag by demanding a government that respects human rights, leadership that rejects secrecy and all forms of corruption with elected officials who fiercely challenge anyone who seeks to undermine the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. One of the 2011 Rebel with Just Cause portraits will be shared by Bradley Manning and Julian Assange: for posting the Afghanistan war diaries on wikileaks. It is not a crime to expose war crimes.

Do we want to be known as a disgusting military super power, policing the world or as a humanitarian super power? "Strike the root!" Be brave, that's how we end terror. All we have to do is stop being afraid, and stop acting out of fear.

"An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law."- MLK. Marc Emery is our hero and wins the other 2011 portrait for taking a stand for justice against a morally bankrupt, violence triggering, nightmare policy.

The collateral damages of present policies on sex, drugs and violence are unacceptable to true patriots who believe in the American dream of self-government, free from the tyranny of official lawlessness, wars of aggression and religious dogma.

Changing who's in charge will not affect much. The real cause of this huge quagmire of failed policy is the beast, big government, that money hungry beast, Uncle Sam! Ma Freedom tells it like it is! The beauty of it is when we focus on down-sizing our government we regain our roots of self-government and secure the blessings of liberty for future generations and ourselves.
