I read that Tea Party members shouted "the "n-word!" at former civil rights leader and current Atlanta Congressman, John Lewis during a protest in DC. One of the protesters spat on another African-American, Congressman Emmanuel Cleaver of Missouri. Someone called openly gay Representative Barney Frank a "faggot" as the crowd tittered at imitations of his lisp. Congressman Ciro Rodriguez, back home in his Texas district, had another TEAd-off radical call him a "wetback." Some opponents of the healthcare bill have committed violence or threatened Congressional offices.
Deplorable behavior, condemn it! We reject hate! Hope must begin to trump fear and anger. We best reject violence as a mechanism for social change. I hope this WE includes YOU!
There is no force for change on this planet more potent than one based on moral issues. Moral issues cross all the boundaries of faith, political philosophy or race in which we may differ. The most powerful movement this planet has ever seen, a ground swell ethical revolution around the world is in progress!
Get inspired by the transformational power of FIERCE LIGHT today! When Spirit meets Action or as Martin Luther King called it "Love in Action," or Gandhi called it "Soul Force." It is the force from our source that can change the world.
The Love Revolution is a gusher of hope and healing! The Spirit of '76 was the Holy Spirit and is our true North! Let the Spirit move you! Take a great notion to use the talents you were blessed with to nonviolently resist tyranny and oppression, to bring about world peace.
"...The only thing that has always bothered me about revolution, every time I have seen revolutionaries, they have reacted out of hatred for the oppressor. We must do this for the Love of our People..." -John Trudell
I write from deep in the heart of Texas where the wild plums grow. Their white blossoms perfume the March winds breezing past other buds of spring. Like magic, almost overnight, the trees' skeletal arms disappear into their abundant green or blooming colors. It is plum perfect weatherwise! Spring is in the air! Love is in the air! Change is in the air, happening before our eyes.
True healthcare reform requires less government involvement, not more. Let the free market and ethics rule! Please notice the violence inherent in the healthcare bill. If we somehow manage to resist either buying mandated insurance policies or paying the fines Congress would impose on us, eventually policemen with guns will show up at our doors to kidnap us and imprison us. If we resist these officals will draw their guns and point them at us. If we attempt to defend ourselves, they will shoot us.
"This legislation is just the next step towards universal, single payer healthcare, which many see as a human right. Of course, this right must be produced by the labor of other people, meaning theft and coercion by government is necessary to produce and distribute it."- Congressman Ron Paul
No more nightmare policies triggering violence! Bring our troops home, make a speedy end to all our current wars and prevent any future war of aggression. Repeal or nullify all policies that are inconsistent with support for individual freedom, constitutional government and the teachings of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Profiteering has no place in medicine, which must be concerned with the well being of the individual not the bottom line. Doctors who have monitored cannabis use by hundreds of thousands of patients in California and Oregon can document a consistent pattern of using less pharmaceuticals including cutting opiates use by half. Repealing prohibition of marijuana would bring other much needed healthcare reform.
"Legalize
the Medicinal and Recreational Use of Marijuana" was voted as one
of the top 10 ideas in the 2010 Ideas for Change in America competition on
Change.org. Will you work to make this health
care choice legal?
Patients testify to Cannabis' help in treating post traumatic stress, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, gastrointestinal (GI) tract disorders, Alzheimer's, Cancer, epilepsy, hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS and more! They swear it is an effective safer replacement for very dangerous pharmaceuticals. It is down right sinister, a crime against humanity, for the medicinal uses of cannabis to be suppressed.
Marijuana is a safer choice. It is safer than alcohol or tobacco. So why are we driving people to drink? Warriors can get their adrenaline rush making us all safer, catching violent predators! Harassing the sick and dying is an un-American activity. The people believe in self-government and self-medication.
Throughout history people have found ways to alter their consciousness. In primitive societies psychoactive plants were sacred and ingested with care, with supposed spiritual intent, but use was often limited to a corrupt powerful few who used fear and superstition to control the masses.
"If the words "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on." - Terence McKenna
If some choose to carry on the ancient tradition of using drugs to enhance their spirituality it is cause for rejoicing not incarceration. Holy smokes, cannabis is often used as a sacrament just like wine.
"The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world." - Carl Sagan
Today to celebrate, to relax, to just feel better, to live without pain, fear, uncertainty, depression and doubt we use our favorite legal or illegal drug. Nationally, globally, enmasse, we are a High Society!
Weed out morally bankrupt servants of tyranny, gun control fanatics and racists by taking away the main tool they use these days to extend their agenda, the new prohibition. Servants of tyranny want you to believe the evils of the drug war are unintended but felony convictions disenfranchise mostly poor and minority Americans.
Considering the oppression, the bloodshed and corruption triggered by the new prohibition; the worst public policy since slavery is a simmering scandal and a gory disgrace more explosive than sex in the oval office!
Servants of tyranny are good at ignoring history and science while catering to the needs of special interests but very bad at determining what is best or safer for the individual or society. They play on our fears to make us more accepting of their waste of our precious lives and resources. The tobacco, alcohol and prescription drug gangs cause more death annually than all illicit drugs.
Remember the political and official corruption, the bloodshed of the roaring twenties? Not learning from past mistakes is a serious flaw in reasoning, unwanted in leaders. Truth and transparency from our leaders is imperative! We will be derelict in our duties to maintain an in fact, free republic if we don't insist on it.
Prohibition is a nightmare policy. It triggers violence, official lawlessness, racism and ruined lives. It makes our streets unsafe.
Snipers, killers and violent sexual and other hate-filled predators roam free, while we police nonviolent medicinal, social and religious drug use. Drug warriors don't have to look far for something better to do. Limited resources can be better-spent catching pedophiles, rapists and killers.
Get tough on violent crime! Warriors can get their adrenaline rush chasing murderers and other violent predators. More time could go toward stopping DUI and those selling drugs to minors. Some of the estimated $50 to $70 billion per year local/state/federal budget could go toward science based drug education.
The violence, official lawlessness and prison over population are a nightmare triggered by our "out-of-control" policies! Take control from the hands of despicable people who sell drugs to children, recruit them to sell to their peers and don't mind killing off the competition.
Prisons propagate crime, violence and sexual deviance. Putting nonviolent offenders in this breeding ground is madness. Support for the federal war on drugs is inconsistent with support for individual freedom, constitutional government and the teachings of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Our corrupt policies attract too many of those who want to milk it for all it is worth. I encourage you to make the LEAP, help restore justice! Attract more of those who will make our system run with the milk of human kindness.
Get tough on violent crime! Stop this scandalous, detrimental drug war. Restore Justice, the guardian of liberty.
"Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe" .- Frederick Douglass
Terrorism is mutual suffering. Non-government organizations (NGOs) in unprecedented numbers worldwide are calling for de-nuclearization, de-miltarization, economic justice and responsible corporate behavior. They know education and the nonviolent path are key to make this sea change in our behavior that will save and sustain life as we know it.
Business is not inherently evil. Consumers, we the people, have the power to put corporations out of business that do not behave ethically and show great concern about their impact on the community and environment! Stop patronizing them, refuse to buy what they are selling! The free market is a more powerful and efficient regulator than government.
If you have ever doubted the power of ordinary citizens to change the world, watch Pray the Devil Back to Hell. A documentary about the women's peace movement in Liberia. This coalition of Christian and Muslim women literally did not take no for an answer when the Liberian government and rebels nearly failed to reach a peace agreement to end the brutal civil war. They physically blocked the delegates from leaving peace talks essentially forcing an agreement to be reached. This was an incredible testament to the power of women in a country where rape was used as a tool of war and children were recruited as soldiers and sometimes even instructed to kill their parents.
It is worth repeating, the Spirit of 1776 was the Holy Spirit and is our true North. The real visionaries, who gave birth to this Nation, those who defined what an American patriot would be, were rebels with just cause!
They made it not just our right but our patriotic duty to rebel against big government corruption. It was revolutionary, a giant step away from tyranny! Our founders knew big government would always mean a gang of evildoers. Uncle Sam has gotten way too big for his britches. We are going back to the people are grand and government is small plan, the revolutionary idea of self government. Let the Spirit move you!
The Last Word is a chilling documentary, a cry for the end of the death penalty. It tells the painful story of innocent, Johnny Frank Garrett, who was convicted of murder and executed by the state of Texas. The mentally challenged Garrett, arrested as a teenager, was exonerated after his death.
Law enforcement officials declared him guilty of the rape and murder of an elderly nun in 1981. It is theorized an over-eager district attorney and incompetent pathologist bungled the case. Save money and save the innocent. It cost less to imprison a violent person for forty years than to execute them. Start on the path toward ending violence on earth by taking away the perpetrators ability to reproduce as a part of their punishment. Violence can be bred out of us as it has been done in other species.

Changing who's in charge will not affect much. The real cause of this huge quagmire of failed policy is the beast, big government, that money hungry beast, Uncle Sam! Ma Freedom tells it like it is! The beauty of it is when we focus on down-sizing our government we regain our roots of self-government and secure the blessings of liberty for future generations and ourselves.
