Standing On the Promises!

President Obama received thousands of letters, faxes and phone calls begging him to uphold his campaign promise and end the federal raids on medical marijuana dispensaries.

Patients testify to Cannabis' help in treating post traumatic stress, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, gastrointestinal (GI) tract disorders, Alzheimer's, Cancer, hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS and more! They swear it is an effective safer replacement for very dangerous pharmaceuticals.

Marijuana medicines were once the "drugs of choice" in the United States. It is down right sinister, a crime against humanity, for the medicinal uses of cannabis to be suppressed. The free press must speak more truth to power about this bigger scandal and disgrace than sex in the oval office!

A promise kept; almost immediately the President took a stand in support of medical marijuana and states' rights. The White House stated: "The President believes that federal resources should not be used to circumvent state laws, and as he continues to appoint senior leadership to fill out the ranks of the federal government, he expects them to review their policies with that in mind." Harassing the sick and dying is an un-American activity!

Many of our leaders have gnarled brains; thoroughly mixed up and set like concrete. Some live in a state of denial! Others are outright servants of tyranny; good at ignoring history and science while catering to the needs of special interests but very bad at determining what is safer for the individual or society. The tobacco, alcohol and prescription drug gangs cause more death annually than all illicit drugs.

Profiteering has no place in medicine, which must be concerned with the well being of the individual not the bottom line. Doctors who have monitored cannabis use by hundreds of thousands of patients in California and Oregon can document a consistent pattern of using less pharmaceuticals including cutting opiates use by half. Repealing prohibition of marijuana would bring other much needed healthcare reform.

The new prohibition equates use with abuse. It is reefer madness to punish world champions like Michael Phelps or any intelligent nonviolent individual who trusts science and makes a safer choice than available legal, social or medicinal alternatives. Here is a letter reformers wish Michael would write to America.

Sign a petition demanding that Phelps not be suspended from international competition. Tell Kellogg's, until they reverse their decision to drop Michael Phelps' sponsorship, you will be boycotting all Kellogg's products.

Our DEA overseers have harassed the sick and dying, shamed and destroyed families, locked up the nonviolent for making a safer choice and triggered many deaths (including enforcement) over use of one of the safest therapeutically active plants known to man. The DEA exacerbates problems instead of solving them. They should be disbanded.

Servants of tyranny play on our fears to make us more accepting of their waste of our precious lives and resources. Paramilitary drug raid confrontational tactics cause violence rather than lessening risks.

Ask the President to go a step further, show himself to be a true servant of the people and grant pardons for medical marijuana providers already in prison. Go beyond stopping medical marijuana raids and stop all SWAT style drug raids; abolish the DEA! Abolish the Drug Czar's office and put drug policy where it belongs under the Surgeon General.

Remember the Recognizing Addiction as a Disease Act of 2007 proposed by then Sen. Joseph Biden, our current Vice President.

We will do a better job keeping drunk drivers off the road, preventing
suicides and people ending up on skid row or involved in prostitution if we treat drug abuse including alcoholism as a disease instead of a crime. We, the people want a better drug policy about saving or rehabilitating lives instead of ruining them.

Regulation, science based education and treating abuse as a medical problem is a better drug policy that increases public safety and harm reduction. Law Enforcement Against Prohibition has kicked off the 'We Can Do It Again' project, calling for an end to drug prohibition.

The new prohibition triggers violence in our streets and in other countries, Mexico's bloodbaths, kidnappings and 300 body acid stew, a case in point.. The black market supports despicable people who sell drugs to children and recruits them to sell to their peers. Young people will not be recruited to deal drugs or be gunned down by rivals in a regulated market. Drug Warriors can get their adrenaline rush increasing public safety; chasing murderers and other perpetrators of violence.

The statistics reveal that racism is epidemic in the drug war. It fuels
corruption of public officials and injustice in our courts.

The family is far superior to the state as a means of moral development and social control. Imprisoning so many urban black males is discouraging marriage and the formation of families, thus contributing to moral and social breakdown. Yet black ministers support this policy because the government put them in charge of mandatory rehab giving them a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.

The violence and corruption triggered by our insane drug policy will end with repeal just as the official lawlessness and bloody massacres triggered by alcohol prohibition disappeared after the Volstead Act was licked. Please beg our first minority President to end the worst public policy since slavery; repeal prohibition.

"Knowledge is contagious ...so infect truth!" is a successful campaign
against tobacco use and could be our guiding light for future fights to save lives and prevent abuse. In the spirit of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. with our Bible and Constitution always close at hand, "We will overcome," drug abuse with compassionate science based education and treatment.

Research shows little or no overdose deaths before prohibition. Currently bodies pile up like cordwood or holocaust victims (more than 33,000 precious lives lost in 2005). Lives continue to be destroyed, not by drugs but by our prohibitive policies. Restore justice in America; construct science based drug policies about rescuing and rehabilitating instead of ruining lives.

The countless daily injustices mean it's time to ramp up efforts to end the Drug War, repeal prohibition! 'We Can Do It Again', harm reduction policy is safer for the individual and society.

Dr. Ron Paul talks about the cure for our financial disease and dysfunction. He knows what is wrong with the so-called economic stimulus package. "It is time to sober up and return to free market sanity, risk and reward, supply and demand, without political intervention. Politicians are good at catering to the needs of special interests, but very bad at determining what needs to take place in the market. Government should stick to punishing fraud and enforcing contracts."

Our Founders were good Christian men led by the holy spirit but money the root of all evil was part of it. They wanted to create the land of abundance. They knew ethics would have to rule for it to work. The Spirit of '76 is the Holy Spirit and our true north.

The Bible says, "without a vision the people parish." Our founders' vision of self-government, of an America free of big government oppression and tyranny, is the one true patriots still hold dear. We are standing on these promises. Join the Easy Revolution!

Servants of tyranny responsible for current quagmire will one-day answer to a higher power for their crimes against humanity. It's time to end the terror by changing our intrusive, big-bully policies, both foreign and domestic. The monetary and environmental costs are staggering and the human suffering unconscionable. Take action, now, join the Campaign For Liberty!
