Save the children, just say NO to prohibition!

Trigger less violence, racism, tyranny and ruined lives!

A new Vanity Fair article primarily about poor FDA oversight of drug testing, much of which is done overseas, reports:. "In 2009, according to the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, 19,551 people died in the United States as a direct result of the prescription drugs they took. That’s just the reported number. It’s decidedly low, because it is estimated that only about 10 percent of such deaths are reported."

Cannabis medicines were once the “drugs of choice” in the United States. Until they were declared illegal, they had been used in about 30 prescription medicines for a 100 specific medical problems.

The FDA reeks of corruption. It has not approved any herbs or vitamins for the treatment of illnesses. They are owned by big pharma. Read: "Tyranny in the USA: The true history of FDA raids on healers, vitamin shops and supplement companies."You can learn more about the true history of the FDA and Big Pharma in Mike Adams tell-all book, Natural Health Solutions and the Conspiracy to Keep You From Knowing About Them.

This agency needs to be disbanded! The naturally medicinal cannabis plant and other medicinal herbs scare the pharmaceutical industry because they cannot be patented, as medicine. Many herbs and other natural occurring compounds don't need their tweaking to be good medicine and are indeed synthesized in many patent medicine formulas.

Patients testify to Cannabis' help in treating posttraumatic stress, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, gastrointestinal (GI) tract disorders, Alzheimer's, Cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS and more! They swear it is an effective safer replacement for very dangerous pharmaceuticals.

Profiteering has no place in medicine, which must be concerned with the well being of the individual not the bottom line. Doctors who have monitored cannabis use by hundreds of thousands of patients in California and Oregon can document a consistent pattern of using less pharmaceuticals including cutting opiates use by half. Repealing prohibition of marijuana would bring other much needed healthcare reform.

The UL model (the trusted source across the globe for product safety compliance) might work better to protect us from unconscionable medical profiteers. It is definitely safer to grow natural herb and vegetable gardens than to expect the government or a pill to solve all our ills.

Consider Burzynski an expose' on the business of cancer treatment and the United States government's relentless persecution of Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, a pioneering biochemist who boldly challenged the in bed with big pharma, FDA. Burzynski has won astonishing legal victories centered around Dr. Burzynski's gene-targeted cancer medicines he discovered in the 1970's called Antineoplastons. Keeping our government from revoking his medical license and staying out of prison has been a 14-year battle Dr. Burzynski and his patients have had to endure in order to obtain FDA-approved clinical trials of Antineoplastons.

Dr. Burzynski lives and practices medicine in Houston, Texas. Initially he was able to produce and administer his discovery without FDA-approval from 1977-1995 since the state of Texas, during that period, did not require that Texas physicians adhere to Federal law in this situation. That has since been changed.

Studies have shown cannabis to slow the growth of three kinds of cancer in mice namely, virus-induced leukemia, lung and breast cancer. In another study THC destroyed incurable brain tumors in rats!

Harassing the sick and dying over their medicinal use is the most un-American activity I can think of!

Some scientists speculate that cannabinoids play a protective role in the brain, slowing the rate of disease. A study has shown THC is far more effective than available Alzheimer's drugs to treat symptoms and halt the disease's progression. Ooooops! Who spilled the beans? Scientists and patients all over the world, that's who!

A Financial Times article estimates 80,000 people died as a result of taking the FDA approved drug VIOXX ! "Ninety-two percent of FDA advisory meetings in the last decade included a member with financial ties to drug companies, according to USA Today -- the FDA calls them sponsors -- and federal law against using experts with financial conflicts of interest was waived 800 times. Too bad THAT can't be on the warning label."

As you will learn in the article, "Relevant nonpartisan journalism Speaks Truth to Power," Congressional oversight of the FDA began to decline with passage of a highly dubious law allowing the industry to pay so-called user fees as a way to speed FDA approval of new drugs.

David Willman in a superb investigative series that won a Pulitzer Prize, found that the FDA had become a partner rather than a supposed watchdog of the pharmaceutical industry . They have many lobbyists, who fill the campaign coffers of friendly lawmakers, and dangle high-paying jobs before these so called overseers to get them to look the other way.

There has been no Congressional investigation of the FDA's role in approving any of the seven drugs that caused needless deaths and injuries on their watch, for sure, the lawmakers who were themselves partners of the industry didn't instigate one. Be aware psychiatrists earn more money from drug makers than doctors in any other specialty and there is a link between psychotropic pharmaceuticals and violence including school violence!

An FDA internal whistleblower, medical officer David Graham, called Vioxx a "profound regulatory failure" by an agency "incapable of protecting America against another Vioxx." For at least a decade, the congressional abandonment of oversight of the FDA turned a blind eye while the thousands of American people died! Read more about "The FDA's Deadly Track Record."

The cannabis plant may not be harmless but it has never caused an overdose death. It is definitely a safer choice, compared to tobacco use which is responsible for over a thousand deaths a day. It is safer than alcohol which is related to at least 300 deaths per day and alcohol makes domestic violence 8xs more likely, cannabis does not. Taking children out of homes of nonviolent cannabis users and placing them in homes in which alcohol is the drug of choice is policy bordering on insanity!

Hemp Revolution

Hemp Revolution?
Can a plant save the planet? Producer-director Anthony Clarke will make you a believer. This documentary explores the hemp plant's fascinating history and thousands of uses, as well as the economic and cultural forces behind its prohibition. Clarke argues that the hype surrounding hemp, also known as cannabis or marijuana, has overshadowed the plant's benefits as a source of paper pulp, its uses as a cotton substitute and much more. He comes down deservedly hard on chemical and drug companies as well as the U.S. government.

Returning troops to front-line duty while they are taking medication such as lithium or Prozac makes me wonder if the method to our military's madness is to use this link between psychotropic drugs and violence.

Drugging Our Children

The ADHD Fraud: How Psychiatry Makes "Patients" of Normal Children Beware, psychiatrists earn more money from drug makers than doctors in any other specialty and there is a link between psychotropic drugs and violence including school violence!

Our DEA overseers have harassed the sick and dying, shamed and destroyed families, locked up and killed many (including the innocent as well as members of enforcement) over one of the safest therapeutically active plants known to man. While FDA"overseers"allowed more pharmaceutical killers on the market, suppressed the truth about cannabis and failed to grant the terminally ill access to investigational drugs. Both agencies exacerbate problems instead of solving them. They should be disbanded.

Deaths and needless injuries happen too often in botched paramilitary drug raids. Prohibition's legacy is legend in the waste of our precious lives and resources. Deaths and needless injuries happen too often in botched paramilitary drug raids. Overzealous, unconscionable to the extreme, situations are occurring!

Ashley Villarreal: in San Antonio DEA agents shoot innocent 14-year-old girl in the head, but deny any wrongdoing.

Rachel Hoffman: a young college grad, coerced by police to act as an informant after she was arrested for marijuana possession and then killed by drug dealers following a botched drug sting.

Stories of violent attacks, hate crimes and murder fill the media. Two young women were found killed execution style in Granbury and three Dallas children were shot in the back seat of their mom's Mercedes recently.

Daniel Rocha was shot in the back by Austin Texas police, witnesses say he was on the ground defenseless. Daniel smoked marijuana sometime in the last month before he died. Police seized 2 ounces of marijuana at the Sunrise Florida home of Anthony Diotaiuto after shooting him 10 times.

In Atlanta, Georgia a 92-year-old woman, Kathryn Johnston, was shot and killed.. Three officers burst into her home with a no-knock warrant based on false information. These officers repeatedly lied to judges to obtain search warrants, falsely claimed confidential informants purchased drugs and falsified warrants to meet goals set by their superiors. Official lawlessness rules as it did during alcohol prohibition.

The carnage continues, an Ohio SWAT team killed Tarika Wilson and shot her one-year-old son.

"In the course of researching paramilitary drug raids, I've found some pretty disturbing stuff. There was a case where a SWAT officer stepped on a baby's head while looking for drugs in a drop ceiling. There was one where an 11-year-old boy was shot at pointblank range. Police have broken down doors, screamed obscenities, and held innocent people at gunpoint only to discover that what they thought were marijuana plants were really sunflowers, hibiscus, ragweed, tomatoes, or elderberry bushes. (It's happened with all five.)"

According to Radley Balko former policy analyst at CATO specializing in "nanny state" issues and author of the study "Overkill: The Rise of Paramilitary Drug Raids in America."

The last 25 years have seen a 1,300% increase in the number of paramilitary raids on American homes. The vast majority of these are to serve routine drug warrants, including for offenses as trivial as marijuana possession. The groundbreaking study, "Overkill," provides a legal, historical, and policy background explaining the trend.

Cato scholar Radley Balko offers a critique of "no-knock" and "short-notice" raids, explains how such confrontational tactics cause violence rather than lessening risks, and offers recommendations for reform. Accompanying Balko's report, Cato is also releasing an interactive raid map that plots examples of mistaken raids from 1985 through 2007, including cases in which in innocent people and offenders with no history of violence were killed as well as cases resulting in the needless death or injury of a police officer. The map also shows other examples of paramilitary police excess and unnecessary raids on doctors and sick people.

We all want, "Resilient Teens, Empowered Parents, Strong Communities!" This is Joy Strickland's Mothers Against Teen Violence organization's motto, following the tragedy of losing her son Charles Christopher Lewis (Chris), 19, and his friend, Kendrick Demond Lott, 18, who were robbed and brutally murdered in Dallas. Joy believes the war on drugs undermines the safety of our children.

Send a note to the U.S. Conference of Mayors, a national organization that unites mayors around policies and goals, and ask them to Stop SWAT style drug raids!

The military and law enforcement have recruitment problems because current policy attracts those interested in working in a corrupt system and milking it, thereby creating a pervasive disrespect for the law.

Our system could run with the milk of human kindness, if America had the ethical, efficient and constitutionally limited government our founders envisioned.

Science shows that withdrawal symptoms from caffeine are much worse than those for cannabis. Cannabis is one of the most benign chemicals we can ingest. Arresting nonviolent people for making a safer health choice in a medicinal/recreational drug is scandalous reefer madness.

We are punishing people because servants of tyranny ignore science in naming their choice unwise when in fact it is a scientifically proven safer, wiser health choice, compared to legal alternatives. Taking children from the homes of parents who made a safer health choice in a medicinal or recreational drug is insane policy.

Taking property from these same, destroyed by government families, is legalized extortion ! States seized $1.52 billion in 2007 End asset forfeiture! We owe reparations to people for all this tyranny.

Research shows little or no overdose deaths before prohibition. Currently bodies pile up like cordwood or holocaust victims (more than 33,000 precious lives lost in 2005).

Treating AIDS is expensive, providing sterile syringes to addicts is a cheap and effective way to curb the epidemic. Yet, the United States has used its influence in the United Nations to prevent countries that receive UN aid from distributing sterile syringes for disease prevention.

We can see where our laws are causing more harm than good and change accordingly; with modern unbiased, science based statistical reporting.

Snipers, killers and violent sexual and other hate-filled predators roam free, while we use up limited resources policing individual medicinal and recreational drug use. Drug warriors don't have to look far for something better to do.

The countless daily injustices mean it's time to ramp up efforts to end the Drug War, repeal prohibition! European harm reduction policy works so much better than our current response.

US Representative Barney Frank has filed a bipartisan federal bill to legalize "small amounts" of marijuana and make room for serious criminals. Representative Ron Paul is a cosponsor. This Texas straight talker says we are "politicizing pain." Visit Write your Congressperson about "The Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act"- HR 5843.

No Walls, No Fences, No Tyranny, No Propaganda, No Secrets, No Fear!

Leaders responsible for current quagmire will one-day answer to a higher power for their crimes against humanity. It's time to end the terror by changing our intrusive, big-bully policies, both foreign and domestic. The monetary and environmental costs are staggering and the human suffering unconscionable.

Join the easy revolution. Stop war, save the American dream! Restore justice in the world; construct science based drug policies about saving and rehabilitating instead of ruining lives. Warriors can get their adrenaline rush increasing public safety; chasing murderers and violent sexual predators.

Our DEA overseers have harassed the sick and dying, shamed and destroyed families, locked up and killed many (including enforcement) over one of the safest therapeutically active plants known to man. While FDA"overseers"allowed more pharmaceutical killers on the market, suppressed the truth about cannabis and failed to grant the terminally ill access to investigational drugs and treatments. Both agencies exacerbate problems instead of solving them. They should be disbanded.
