The family is far superior to the state as a means of moral development and social control. The destruction of the sacred family unit is one of the worst consequences of the new prohibition. The propaganda is we wage this war to protect our children. The devastating and deadly facts are our babies, especially teens have become collateral damage in this grossly failed war.

Only 50 percent of high school students graduate in our ten biggest cities and only 40 per cent graduate in NYC, Baltimore and Detroit. In the Netherlands 92 percent graduate; that's No Child Left Behind! There drugs are regulated, controlled, taxed and made legally available to everyone over eighteen.

The government is best left out of our personal moral dilemmas. They are needed to protect us from fraud and violence. At present they are too busy trying to be our moral police instead of our safety police. Get tough on violent crime!

Servants of tyranny want you to believe the evils of the drug war are unintended but felony convictions disenfranchise mostly poor and minority Americans.

Drug prohibition is a worldwide problem! The violence, official lawlessness and prison over population are our out-of-control policy created nightmare! Take control from the hands of despicable people who sell drugs to children, recruit them to sell to their peers and don't mind killing off the competition.

Restore Justice! Get tough on violent crime! Drug warriors can get their adrenaline rush chasing murderers and other violent predators. More time could be spent on DUI and keeping drugs from minors.

"Reflections on a Safer Choice", the really dangerous drugs are the legal ones. Over a thousand people die each day due to tobacco use! Close to 300 a day die from prescribed pharmaceuticals. The tobacco, alcohol and pharmaceuticals gangs deal drugs causing more death annually than all illicit drugs We tolerate their salesmen!

New Jersey is about to become the 14th state to make medical marijuana legal. Harassing the sick and dying is an un-American activity. The debate over medical marijuana or cannabis is really a scandalous controversy over whether this very easy-to-grow herb should be allowed to compete with pharmaceuticals for pennies on the dollar. "Narcotics destroy the lives of chronic users. In contrast marijuana often restores a degree of normalcy and functionality. Don't we owe our vets this choice?" Dr. Robert Melamede asks.

A resounding and absolute yes!! Veterans and all of us deserve the free use of all herbal medicine! The naturally medicinal cannabis plant and other medicinal herbs scare the pharmaceutical industry because they cannot be patented as medicine. Many herbs and other natural occurring compounds don't need their tweaking to be good medicine and are indeed synthesized in many patent medicine formulas.

Abolish the FDA and DEA! The UL model (the trusted source across the globe for product safety compliance) might work better to protect us from unconscionable medical profiteers. It is definitely safer to grow natural herb and vegetable gardens than to expect the government or a pill to solve all our ills.

Drug Policy Alliance Director Ethan Nadelmann states, "It's time for a new bottom line for U.S. drug policy – one that focuses on reducing the cumulative death, disease, crime, and suffering associated with both drug misuse and drug prohibition. Federal drug agencies should be judged – and funded – according to their ability to meet these goals."

Before it became illegal, 50% of all medicines came from cannabis and they were once the "drugs of choice" in the United States! Marijuana or cannabis is one of the most benign chemicals know to man. One can get a psychological dependence on anything that makes one feel good, for instance exercise.

We need to focus on neglected and abused children of more risky, violent, aggressive behavior causing drugs, not the children of parents who have made a safer choice. Our prisons are full of victims of fetal alcohol syndrome! Many victims of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) are not able to comprehend the consequences for their actions.

Prisons propagate violence, sexual abuse and crime. Placing nonviolent drug users in this "breeding ground" is policy bordering on insanity or reefer madness! Drug warriors can get their adrenaline rush increasing public safety; chasing killers and other violent predators.

If you get misty at liberty as Howard Wooldridge, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition and I do, please dedicate as much time as you can, using the talents you were blessed with, to end the evil we suffer and abolish these insane forms to which we have become accustomed!

If you are a supporter of Debra Medina, you may want to contact the Dallas Morning News, KERA TV and Rick Perry’s campaign office to make a firm statement of support for Medina’s inclusion in the January 29th KERA PBS Debate of Republican candidates running for Texas Governor. At this point she will not be allowed to participate in a televised debate with Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison in Dallas in a couple weeks. Even though she did very well in last nights debate.

Consumers, we the people, have the power to put corporations out of business that do not behave ethically and show great concern about their impact on the community and environment! Stop patronizing them, refuse to buy what they are selling! The free market is a more powerful and efficient regulator than government.

However, it is worth repeating, the Spirit of 1776 was the Holy Spirit and is our true North. The real visionaries, who gave birth to this Nation, those who defined what an American patriot would be, were rebels with just cause and this baby is a keeper!

They made it not just our right but our patriotic duty to rebel against big government corruption. It was revolutionary, a giant step away from tyranny! Our founders knew big government would always mean a gang of evildoers. Uncle Sam has gotten way too big for his britches. We are going back to the people are grand and government is small plan, the revolutionary idea of self government.
